- 1/2 c. apple cider vinegar
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. ketchup
- juice from a can of pineapple chunks (set pineapple aside)
- 2 slices of ginger root
- mix above ingredients, then add:
- 1/4 c. cornstarch + 3/4 water (premixed) to thicken sauce
- 1 c. corn starch
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- mix above ingredients...
- starting with 1 c. water, stir into dry ingredients, add enough water to make a pancake batter consistency
I usually start the sauce, and let it simmer while I deep fry the chicken.
Serve chicken with steamed veggies (broccoli, onions, carrots, bell peppers, etc.) & pineapple on top of cooked rice, drizzle with S&S sauce. Enjoy!
